Jack and Lifting Locations – 2012-2019 BMW 3 Series Sedans (F30)
Step 1 - Purchase Parts

Floor Jack - Low Profile
If you are raising up any BMW that is not an SUV, then you need a low-profile floor jack. A regular floor jack is too high to reach the front and rear lift points on BMW sedans, coupes and wagons. This high-quality 3 ton jack from Vevor sports all of the high-quality features of expensive brands at about half the price.
Step 2 - Repair Procedure

- Always use a low profile jack when raising a 2012-2019 3 Series sedan. You cannot reach the front and rear jack locations with a standard thickness floor jack.

- All 2012-2019 3 Series sedans must be lifted at the following designated lift points:
- When raising the front of the vehicle, position the jack under the pad at location (1).
- When lifting the sides of the vehicle, position the jack under one of the four pads at location (2).
- When lifting the rear of the vehicle, make sure the jack is positioned underneath the rear differential (3) NOT under its cover (see image).

- Always make sure the floor jack is properly centered under the rubber plates to avoid damaging any of the vehicles plastic trim.
