Bumper Cover Removal Rear – 2012-2019 BMW 3 Series (F30)

1. Removing the rear bumper cover.
remove left and right water channel trim

- Remove the right and left water channel trim by sliding upward until it releases from its clips.

remove screws inside wheel arch covers

- Remove the screws anchoring the left and right wheel arch covers (1) to the inside of the rear fender (2).

- Fold the wheel arch covers back and remove the anchor screw (2).

Pro Tip

When disconnecting electrical connections during a repair, wrap them with high visibility blue or green tape so you don't miss any during reassembly.

- Remove the 8 lower screws (1) under the rear of the vehicle.

remove right and left screws that were behind water channel trim

Remove the right and left screws from top of bumper cover that were behind the water channel trim.

gently pull the bumper panel from body of vehicle

Carefully unclip the bumper panel from the body of the car by pulling gently outward until they release.

Unplug any distance sensors and remove the bumper cover from the vehicle.
