Our Review
The BMW X6 is a stylish and practical SUV powered by either a 335-hp inline-six engine or a 523-hp twin-turbo V-8. The interior of the X6 is elegant and functional, although the slanted roof does sacrifice some headroom and storage space. The X6 is more expensive than the X5, but its striking looks may be worth the price tag for some buyers.
The entry-level xDrive 40i is powered by a 3.0-liter turbocharged six-cylinder engine that produces 335 horsepower and 330 pound-feet of torque. The M50i's V-8 is significantly more potent than the 40i's six-cylinder, with 523 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque. As a result, it's considerably quicker, too, with a 0-60 mph time of just 3.8 seconds. The X6 M takes things even further with up to 617 horsepower on tap from its twin-turbo 4.4-liter V-8, sprinting to 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds.
The interior of the 2022 BMW X6 is both comfortable and stylish, with perforated leather seats, a cabin trimmed with wood and metal accents, and an ergonomic center console. The X6 also features a Heads-Up Display that projects important information onto the windshield, making it easy for drivers to stay informed while on the go. Standard features include a 10.2-inch touchscreen display, navigation, heated front seats, and automatic climate control. Optional features include massaging front seats, a panoramic sunroof, and a 20-speaker audio system. The X6 also offers a wide range of safety features, including blind spot detection, lane departure warning, and adaptive cruise control. Although the X6's cabin is relatively small, it still offers plenty of space for passengers and cargo.
One of the most impressive features of the X6 is its infotainment system, which has been completely redesigned for the new model year. The system is based around a large central touchscreen that controls all of the vehicle's functions, from navigation and climate control to audio and vehicle settings. In addition, of course, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included. Optional upgrades include wireless charging, enhanced USB ports, and a WiFi hotspot. The system is extremely user-friendly, and even those unfamiliar with BMW's infotainment systems should have no trouble using it.
The all-new BMW X6 is a safety-focused SUV with the latest tech and features. It comes standard with a full suite of airbags, including front, side, and curtain airbags. Additionally, the 2022 BMW X6 features a rollover sensor that automatically deploys the side curtain airbags in the event of a rollover. The SUV also comes standard with BMW's Active Protection System, which includes automatic seatbelt pretensioners and frontal collision warning with brake assist. The latter is particularly useful, as it can help to avoid or mitigate the severity of a frontal collision. For more information about BMW's crash-test results, visit the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) websites. Key safety features include:
The X6 comes with a four-year/50,000-mile warranty; maintenance is covered for the first three years/36,000 miles. BMW offers a variety of lease and financing options, making it easy to get behind the wheel of this luxurious SUV.

The rear sensor system design on the X6 does not work as described and the complaint was acknowledged by our BMW dealer “with nothing they can do”. When backing up out of a parking space, it does not alert for persons walking or driving by behind you unless they are only inches away. This has caused personal conflicts with persons walking who thought we should have stopped. And, we nearly had a horrible accident when changing lanes at freeway speeds in front of a semi - a pickup cut us off by jumping in our blind spot and no alert was received. Had I not finally seen him and took evasive action, we would have collided in front of the semi. I have seen similar unsatisfied owner complaints on the forums and there are likely other similar reports here. Thank you. We are selling this vehicle to get something safer.Complaint Date:

2022 BMW X6. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARD TO DEFECTIVE BRAKE DESIGN. THE CONSUMER WAS PERPLEXED ON HOW BMW MADE THEIR DETERMINATION IF THE VEHICLE WAS NEVER EXAMINED.Complaint Date:

When slowing the vehicle, at about 4-5 mph, the car seems to engage the auto-start system and force the car to lurch forward (adding power to the wheels) potentially causing an accident by forcing the car forward when the driver is attempting to slow the vehicle. This only happens 15% of the time (estimated). I have taken it back to two different BMW dealerships a total of four times, having the vehicle off the road for over 5 weeks. I have notified BMW North America, as well. They all say the vehicle is operating as intended. I feel that the car adding power to the wheels when a driver is intending to stop the vehicle is incredibly dangerous and will, at some point cause an accident or hit a pedestrian.Vehicle Specifications
