Our Review
We can quickly summarize this review with one simple statement...the 2022 BMW 3 Series is (still) a remarkable vehicle. With a smooth ride and powerful engine, the 2022 3 series has something for everyone. It still has a comfortable interior made of high-quality materials. Its infotainment system features a standard 8.8-inch touchscreen, and both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard. The 3 Series also has various safety features, including blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert. The four-year/50,000-mile warranty and maintenance plan are standard on all 2022 3 series vehicles.

A range of engines power the 2022 BMW 3 Series. The 330i features a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four engine with 255 horsepower and 294 pound-feet of torque. The 330e is a plug-in hybrid sporting a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four engine with electric assist for a total output of 288 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. The M340i is the performance model in the lineup powered by a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six engine with 382 horsepower and 386 pound-feet of torque. All models come standard with an eight-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive. All-wheel drive is available as an option on all three versions. There are two suspension options for all three models: the base setup or the upgrade with adaptive dampers. The 330i and 330e have a 0-60 mph time of 5.3 seconds, while the M340i does it in 4.1 seconds. All models have a top speed of 155 mph.

The interior of the 3 Series is impressively designed, with high-quality materials and excellent build quality. Everything feels sturdy and well-placed inside the car, and the controls are easy to use. BMW has also significantly improved visibility, and the standard sports seats are comfortable and supportive. They offer an array of adjustabilities, so you can find a position that's perfect for you. The 3 Series has many standard and optional accessories, including a head-up display, customizable ambient lighting, heated seats, a remote start, and wireless charging. We feel the digital instrument cluster is slightly convoluted but still looks nice. Some people might find the counterclockwise sweep of the tachometer needle strange at first, but you get used to it quickly. The 3 Series has a large trunk with an available power-operated lid. It can hold six carry-on suitcases with 17 cubic feet of cargo space.

The 2022 BMW 3 series has a suite of infotainment features. The standard 8.8-inch touchscreen interface can be controlled with a large knob and buttons on the console or with voice commands, but for the really good stuff, you'll need to spring for the similarly named Live Cockpit Pro package which increases the touchscreen size to 10.3 inches. There's an optional WiFi hotspot upgrade and two convenient USB ports. Both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included in the base model. One exciting option is BMW's Gesture Control, which allows the driver or passenger to input specific commands with hand gestures. It's more novel than helpful, but it'll wow your friends for a few minutes.

The 2022 BMW 3 series comes with various standard and available safety features. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are among the standard features, while lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist are among the available features. Adaptive cruise control is also available. For more information about the 3-series' crash-test results, visit the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) websites. Key safety features:
The 2022 BMW 3 Series has a standard four-year/50,000-mile warranty and maintenance plan. This comprehensive coverage includes all scheduled maintenance and 24/7 roadside assistance. For added peace of mind, BMW also offers an extended warranty that can be purchased for up to eight years/100,000 miles.

Hours after a software update to the vehicle, a sudden unintended acceleration event occurred as I pulled into the alley of my office's driveway/garage. The brakes failed to work, and the vehicle rapidly accelerated in less than 2 seconds. In order to avoid endangering anyone, I steered the vehicle into City trash cans that were in front of a telephone pole. The vehicle was completely damaged, and both my passenger and I sustained severe injuries, including a vertebral compression fracture and torn neck ligaments. The vehicle is currently undergoing inspection by my insurance company. My safety was jeopardized entirely. If the vehicle had not collided with the telephone pole, it would have entered a street full of cars, thereby endangering pedestrians and other drivers. As of now, the issue has not been reproduced or confirmed by the dealer, and no attorney is willing to pursue the case due to the exorbitant costs associated with litigating against a major auto manufacturer. The police were present at the crash site, and the insurance company is currently examining the vehicle. There were no warnings displayed on the dashboard, nor was there any unusual behavior exhibited by the vehicle prior to the incident.Complaint Date:

The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The approximate failure mileage was 300.Complaint Date:
